I’ve been playing Civ 6 for years, and heroes have become an integral part of my strategy. They’re powerful units that can turn the tide of battle, boost yields, or even found cities. But how long do they last? It’s not always easy to tell, but there are a few things to keep in mind.
Everyday Use
Heroes in Civ 6 have a lifespan of 30 turns. However, there are a few ways to extend their lifespan. Using the Great General’s “Inspire” ability, for example, can add an additional 10 turns to their life. Additionally, certain wonders and city-states can also provide bonuses that extend hero lifespans.
Practical Applications
Understanding how long heroes last is crucial for effective gameplay. By carefully managing their lifespan, you can maximize their benefits and minimize the risks. For example, you may want to use a Great General to lead a charge early in the game, knowing that he or she will likely die in battle. Alternatively, you may want to keep a Great Scientist alive for as long as possible to reap the benefits of his or her research bonuses.
